Over the past decade we have accomplished the following achievements:

    • Six high school graduates, five of whom have gone on to college, all being the first in their families to achieve this level of education
    • Eight mothers with formal employment
    • In 2009, with the help of Rotary International, Vectra Forum, AHALA Children?s Rights Foundation and distinguished members of the community of Guadalajara, we succeeded in purchasing Casa CODENI
    • A permanent academic scholarship program since 2006, benefiting 80 students during the 2015-2016 school year.
    • Coordination of the State Forum ?The Rights of Children: Current Context, Challenges and Opportunities? in the State Congress of Jalisco (2005).

Active participation in public policy including:

  • Implementation of a state law for the promotion and participation of civil society organizations in jalisco (2013-2014).
  • Coordination of the campaign “10xinfancia” with unicef to obtain the commitment of candidates for governor and municipal presidents in jalisco to children’s rights (2012).
  • Coordination of the state forum “the rights of children: current context, challenges and opportunities” in the congress of jalisco (2005).
      • Development of an integrated support program including formal education, social work, psychological therapy, formative and artistic workshops, recreational activities and street outreach, now attending over 100 child laborers from approximately 60 families in street situations in downtown Guadalajara.
      • Six public festivals to promote children´s rights and celebrate the anniversary of the ratification of the Convention of the Rights of the Child by Mexico.
      • Coordination of the research project ” The Effect of Urban Poverty on Working Children and their Families: A Comparison of Two Neighborhoods” in collaboration with the University of Guadalajara and the University of Illinois in Chicago. Social Trajectory Award from the University of Guadalajara (2007).
